Illinois Wind Symphony Performance

The University of Illinois Wind Symphony will travel to perform at the national convention of the College Band Directors National Association, which will take place at the University of Maryland in College Park.  Their featured concert will be on the UMD campus on February 24, 2027, starting at 8pm.

It’s free and open to the public, and the program will have a lot of great audience appeal. A special highlight will be a performance by U of I faculty, renowned singer Nathan Gunn.

If you are interested in a pre-performance dinner, then please reach out to dcillinievents@gmail.com.  If there is enough interest, we can plan to meet for dinner ahead of time.  We may also have the opportunity to host Barry Houser (Director of the Marching Illini) since he will be one of the faculty members traveling out for the convention.
